This is a replacement ceramic dome cartridge for the Essencia Carbon Filter System and treats up to 250 litres of 40% ethanol (50 batches). It features premium ceramic carbon filtration that purifies the water component of your spirit, effectively removing bacteria and cysts (such as E. coli, Giardia, and Cryptosporidium), suspended solids (including excess nutrients, yeast cells, dirt, and rust), chlorine (which can affect taste), hydrogen sulfide (which can produce unpleasant odors), organic pesticides (like lindane), and dissolved metals (such as lead, zinc, iron, and copper).

Note: This cartridge is specifically engineered for filtering alcohol using the Essencia Carbon Filter System. Ceramic water filters are not suitable for this purpose.

What is a Distilling Parrot?
A distillers parrot is a piece of kit that allows you to take alcohol gravity measurements using an Alcometer continuously throughout your pot or reflux run. It should be placed inline of your distillation outlet so that the drops of distillate fall directly into the tallest collection cone. But only placed in-line AFTER you collect your foreshots.
